1983 2.5 l 17 footer omc beachcraft any one know how many gallons the original tank hold ? Know they were made in salem any nwpeople on here know any information on this boat looks will taken care of heard her run haven't took it on lake yet ty for any infoe

Welcome aboard.

Unless you love working on obsolete boats with obsolete drives, I would recommend looking for a newer boat without an OMC drive.

Ty for the response I own it now hoping the omc comes out ok just wanted to pull the kids around on tube

Check the stringers for rot

Replace the raw water pump. I would do a complete kit

Inspect the splines on all 3 pieces of the drive shaft

Keep an eye on the gear lube
