When I purchased my boat a few weeks back the engine ran great on all 4 cylinders and had great compression. It was being run a remote tank at that point. I cleaned out the 63 gallon gas main gas tank, added 24 gallons of new fuel and 50:1 mix along with a new fuel/water filer etc this morning.

Go to start the engine and it runs horrible. Tons of smoke that is grey/blue etc and more than I have ever seen. My whole neighborhood was engulfed with smoke...I swapped the power packs from left to right and same issue. The right hand cylinder bank is running and running hot and the left is stone cold.

I am getting a steady stream of water out of the tell tale and exhaust and the waterpump was just replaced.

I am stumped and somewhat helpless without all of my tools with me.

What could be the issue?

What did you clean the tank with ?
try draining the carbs then pump a 1/2 quart of gas out of the carbs so everything in the lines has cleared the system then try again.

Also check the vent on the tank or loosen the cap to make sure you do not have a vacuum on the tank preventing fuel from getting to the motor and causing a week mix.
