Does anybody know where I could find a owner/operator manual for my 1982 9.9 hp Johnson. I just bought my 1st boat, and he had no manuals for it. I'm looking for fuel mix ratio and basic adjustments (if needed in the future).

Thanks
Dave

Re: 1982 Johnson 9.9 hp owners manual

Your fuel mix ratio is 100% positive 50:1 fuel oil mix. That is 16oz of any brand TWC-3 2cycle oil to 6 gallons of unleaded 87 octane gas. TWC translated to (two cycle water cooled). Mix well in tank prior to use. That oil in your gas is the only form of lubrication that the inside of your motor will see, so if you forget or go to lean on the mixture and your powerhead will get damage.

I tried looking on this site for a true service and owners manual for your motor and I could not find anything pass 1979, dunno why.

Kencook is the official distributor of the official Johnson Evinrude manuals. So I found a link that can get you those manuals.

Good luck and safe boating.
