1982 Johnson 120 V4 Gas Mixture

My son has a 82 Johnson 120 hp engine he just bought. He can't figure out the gas to oil ratio to go in it. Can anyone help? Would appreciate very much. Thank You!

Welcome aboard. The mix is 50:1. That's 3 oz. oil for every gallon of gas (OK, rounded up from 2.56 oz -- just to err on the safe side). Don't overdo the oil or you will just foul the plugs. And by all means, use fresh gas and good oil (TCW-3 is the designation you are looking for in 2-cyle oil for marine use).<br /><br />Good luck.
