1982 evinrude 4hp lower unit removal?

Info may be in here but didn't find it.....
Want to remove the lower unit so I removed the two screws on the bottom but it will not come out so I figure it's connected at the top near the shifter.
It came out an inch or two but not fully. Anybody know what needs to be removed in order for me to pull it out clean?

Talking about throwing it all in a bucket.....if he gets that back together he has a better memory than most.
Would not remove the flywheel that way or beat on parts the way he did but, I got my answer.
