I have a 1981 Mercury 25 two stroke and the rope start had no tension and would not start the motor. The first few times I pulled it and it would catch and turn the flywheel to start. After a few more times it had zero tension but it did return or pull back the rope. I just ordered a manual but was wondering if someone could help me out. What do you think happend? How can I fix it? Thanks in advance!!!
