Hi I had a question I have a 1981 mercury 175 outboard with a completely rebuilt motor a water pump kit completely installed by marina from too to bottom. When I put the lower leg back on and hook up muffs there is no water making it to the motor. I have taken the leg off and with a hose shot water straight into the water intake copper pipe turned the engine on and boom pissing water like no tomorrow I have taken the water pump apart and it's put together properly. Checked the intake holes nothing blocking them. With leg on I have ran the motor up to 1 min and shut it down because it's getting hot. I am at a loss on what to do next

Are you using the plastic guide tube to make sure the water tube connects into the water pump output? Are the thermostats and poppit valve working properly?

You shouldnt have any flow through the pee hole until the thermostats open up.

Here's a way ta test on tha hose. Pull tha "pipe plug" that's right on top of tha block, right behind tha flywheel. Start if for just a few seconds. You should get a lot of water from that hole. Next put tha plug back in and pull tha stats and housings off. Start again. Should get a water flow from there also. Exactly what water pump parts did you replace? OEM or aftermarket?

Ya might wanna check tha impeller bushing. Hold tha rubber and turn tha driveshaft. Sometimes, even on new ones, its not bonded very well and will slip inside tha rubber...........

The water pump is factory replacement parts I literally am not getting any water what so ever to pump up from the water pump with the muffs on it doesn't even look like it try's to suck in anything

What does this mean? How "hot" is "hot"? Gauge, temp sensor, temp gun, fingers? How do you know for sure its not gettin' water to tha block? If your not gettin' any water at tha plug I mentioned then yes no water gettin' to tha block. That hole is a direct shot from tha pump. If that's tha case Its gonna be something in tha pump no mater how "new" everything is............Check tha impeller as suggested. You need ta check tha pump base. That's tha piece under tha stainless ride plate. Its not part of any "kit". It can be warped or trash in it. Double check all tha gaskets. Making sure its tha right ones for that pump and none are upside down.......
