1981 Mercury 150 hp v6 is it 74 degree or 60?

I have a 1981 mercury 150hp v6 I'm tighting my head bolts and i'm wondering if its a 74 or 60 degree block.
How do i tell which i have?

The only advise I can offer is the degree of the cylinder angle. If you have an angle finder and a carpenters square you can level it and center it to find out.

All the Merc 2.0/2.4/2.5/3.0 liter motors are 60? motors, the only 70ish ? motor I know of is the Yammy 76?...

my book says 12.5 ft lb for 74 degree and 35ft lb for 60 degree v6 block, but says nothing on whats which block

What book are you consulting? Never heard of a 74* V engine. 12.5 Ft-pounds is usually for a small bolt, like a 1/4-20.
