What is a good and safe fuel & oil mix for my out board motor when trolling in cold (40 to 50 degs.)Great Lakes freshwater? I will have to remove and clean plugs after every 6 - 8 hours of trolling.
Thanks

I wouldn't suggest that you go lower than 50:1 mixture. You might try the next hotter spark plugs but don't go more than the next closest number. Or, gap your existing plugs a little wider.

Run at 50/1, ensure thermostat is functioning correctly and is keeping the powerhead warmed to optimal temperature, install correct spark plugs gapped to .030". Should idle all day w/o ever fouling a plug if the low speed jet is set correctly. See top secret files sticky at the top of this forum for more on that.. Good luck!
