Does anyone out there know whether a 1981 20 HP Chrysler Outboard has an adjustable Trim Tab to combat Prop Torque?
If there is no adjustment, are there suggestions on cheapest & easiest way to address the problem?

I guess I'll put the trim fin (aka hydrofoil, aka whale tail) back on the cavitation plate. At least it has trim tabs that can be adjusted against the left pull \ prop torque.

The exhaust snout is the trim fin.
From the rear of the motor.
If the boat pulls to the right??
Then turn the snout to the right.
Pulling left? Turn left.

I've found that the foils help but can slow you down a bit.
The bigger ones aren't as good as the medium sized ones.
Bigger is too much drag.

Thanks for the reply. I've been out of pocket for a few days.
The problem with 1981 20 Hp Chrysler is that the exhaust snout is not adjustable. Its hard to believe these motors were not manufactured with some sort of trim tab. I put the whale tail back on and its trim tabs seems to do the trick. As you say, I will likely loose a little speed. And feels strange when running against the river's current.
