1981 120 HP OMC I/O Tilt Mech

Any help would be greatly appreciated.<br />I replace the tilt motor and worm gear. (the worm gear was broken) I removed the outdrive<br />and switched the tilt on and the spur gear rotates. When I replace the outdrive and try to lift the unit up, the clutch slips and will not raise the motor. Question: Do I need to replace clutch plates? Thanks

Take the clutch pack out and clean it. I cant remember where there was a spring or the plates were beveled.

Thanks Clanton. I had to replace clutch pads ( worn ) $200.00 OUCH. Everything works and goin fishin Thanks BYE
