hey guys...i have a electrical problem wanted to know if anyone could shed some light on the matter..
everything was running sweet, motor was running in tank trim was working... i went up on the trim and the trim function lost power with motor still running.. i shut down the motor.. now i have nothing. no power at all... ive checked the igniton controls with a multimeter, and all is good..

could it be the rectifier in the outboard??
will the motor run with a blown rectifier under its own power??

ive tried everything i can think off... and advice would be greatly appreciated..

ps: any mandurah base auto sparkies, want a cashy call 0430758725

thanks guys

That is a symptom of a blown main fuse. I do not know if you have one on that motor. Look up the year by serial number at maxrules, and then the wiring diaghram and see if you have a fuse.
Nex to check is the trim motor. See why it blows fuses. If no fuse, look for a burnt wire, likely white or purple
