Hello,I bought old pontoon which was equipped with Suzuki outboard.I did renovate little bit and purchased for my outboard new Suzuki remote with separate key ignition equipped with kill switch.I let friend of my who know electric guy to wire my Suzuki 8 wire main harness to new one I purchased with my new controller which have 16 pin connector.be honest I have no glue about electric but I end up with cut wires and somewhat connected but there is some issues.tilt it’s working key start is working as well but when I want turn key off engine won’t die and same think with kill switch which I think it’s not working as well so only way is open motor and press choke to turn off motor.I guess he must mess up with wires or something. After electrician guy just told me he have no time I called few marine shop repair and no one interested to help me so I guess this way it’s my lad hope.Thank you for any help.Tom

There is a big difference between skill levels of electricians, a guy who can wire a house has no business messing with control wiring which I did all my life.
