Last year my dad bought a new boot for the boat and their is a pin hole leak in it. Is their anyway to patch it or are we better off buying a new one. Thanks for any info JK whats a good sealer to buy for it if we have to replace boot.

You are not really telling us much when you leave out what make of sterndrive you have.....
That said, any rubber part that is below thw waterline that is defective or worn out should be replaced.......;)
Most likely you need bellows adhesive......;)

All I know is its 120 hp omc. but what does the stern drive have to do with asking if a hole in the rubber boot can be patched.

While you might get away with a temporary repair on the boot of a stringer drive like your omc has, you wouldn't stand a chance on one for a Cobra or Mercruiser ujoint "Boot" as many call it.
It's also real silly for us to answer questions if you don't have a clue what it's about and just assume things.

GLM transom boots have a 1 year warranty. others probably do too. Get a new one. Going out with a patch of sealant keeping you afloat is a novice mistake and can end badly.

We ask about the drive and more because we can give better answers.

From your posts I think you have a OMC stringer drive.

That boot shoud be replaced because enough water will sink the boat.

But as a temprary patch/attempt look into Boat Life Caulk.
