1980 Johnson 85 replaced cd box ran great last night then nothing this morning

We replaced the power pack CD4 the other night and everything worked great, ran perfect. Went to start it the next morning and nothing. Trim works, lights work, but when key is turned to start nothing happens, nothing. Any ideas?

Check your fuse in the connector next to the starter solenoid under the cowl.

Also, make sure your throttle lever is actually in the neutral position and your kill lanyard if you have one is pushed up correctly.

The boat had been running really good since replacing one of the cd boxes. Now it seems to run like it's missing or sputtering. Then it will go to full power for a second then back to missing. I idled around the lake for about 15 minutes then it ran perfect. Starting to think the other cd box is going bad too. Will a cd box act that way? Need to warm up? any thoughts? thanks in advance!

Most electrical probs show up when the mtr is good and warm.

Most electrical probs show up when the mtr is good and warm.

It sputters for the first 15 minutes like it's missing or something then runs like a top.
