Just bought this motor used from a repair shop. Got everything hooked up, engine fired right away. It was idleing a bit high so I shut it off to adjust throttle cable down. Now, the motor floods up right away and will not even pop. Checked spark on all three cyl, good. New gas tank, new gas line, new gas. I can bring it back to the place I got it for warranty, but would rather keep it on the boat and hope it is just something small. Any suggestions very welcome!!!

I know its a pain, but if its under warrantee I would take it back... but sounds like its fluding, maybe a sticking float, etc... obviously carb related...Ross Bancroft Ontario

you should have a idle screw adjustment to lower idle speed and not have to change throttle adj.

Thank you for your replies. I will probably end up taking it back for warranty work, just hoping to avoid that. I just got the damn thing and the shop is pretty far away in a very busy part of Minneapolis.
