Hi everybody...newbie here. I was going to change plugs in my recently purchased 1980 4HP GNAT (lol, I'm getting used to the terms already)....anyway, I pulled the plugs and wires and can't remember which wire goes to which plug....grrrrr.

I don't want to screw this little motor up already, so, short of buying a manual to actually see the picture, I thought I'd ask for your help. Thanks in advance.

I haven't filled out my profile yet, but I'm from New Brunswick, Canada.....and the ice is almost out...!

I guess this is a harder question than I thought. I have ordered an online manual and when I get it, I'll post the answer for the 80 some people that were kind enough to review my initial request.

Happy boating.

Look at the motor from the rear so you're looking at the plugs..

The LH side coil goes to the top cylinder, the RH coil goes to the bottom cylinder.

I've just bought one of these as a "stuck in gear non runner" emergency spare to fix up, and I'm refurbing it at the moment. Just fitted new impeller and made new gaskets all round, fresh oil and grease, new plugs etc....

Hope to have a go at trying to start it tomorrow, hope my Dad is right that 2 strokes are bullet proof :)

Regards.. Steve.

Thanks Steve.....It's interisting, I bought an online manual and I couldn't find a pic or any instructions on this issue.......so, I really appreciate your help.

.....and yeah, I hope it's bullet proof too. I've got a few things on my plate right now, but I'll let you know how things work out.....thanks again.
