my buddys 1980 evinrude 100 has spark,140-145lbs compression in all.idles like crap,spits and dies at idle and wont plane up.just pushes water.was running fine last fall.Im gonna check carbs tomorrow. will crossflow 140 carbs bolt right on?

Why not just clean those since you know it ran good when they were clean?
