1980 85 horse johnson

I did check the nada value and much to my dismay, 335.00 in the high side. I have looked high and low for a motor in my price range and so many others older going for 1500- 2000 range this is nuts!!!! The motor is 400 miles away one way. How much leverage do I have once I get there???? I am really feeling like I would get screwed if I were to buy it. Tell me more?????

i traded in a boat last mounth with a 1985 90hp rude the dealer sold the moter for 2300 1 week later just telling you what i know about the price but i know he gave a 30 day warenty
