I have a 1979 Yamaha 8hp motor and have battled to get my 10ft bass striker out of the hole. The motor has a 9x9 prop and I would like to know what is the standard. I would like to know what size prop would I need to get the boat onto the plane. I do not have a rev counter but the rev's are fairly low at full throttle. I have fitted a small hydrofoil which has got the boat almost onto the plane but just need the extra bit to get there.
