1979 sportsmaster stingray 17'

my boat has set up for 3 years it has a 470 murcruiser stern drive. It still runs great but the stearing and the shifter want move. i'm going to florida in three weaks and would like to get one more week of use out of this boat with out spending much money. any sugestions would be helpful. thanks alot anybody.

I didn't know where this one wound up at I got to looking couldn't find it so I reposted it in the right place. sorry I'm still learning my way around in here.
