I have a tilt/trim problem that has baffled me. I am able to trim down but it will not trim up. My motor is now stuck in the down position where I am not able to transport my boat on the trailer. Does anyone know of a way to manually release the tilt/trim or the cause/fix for this problem. When I try to trim up, I hear a clicking.

Remove the cowling and find the solinoid (it will be the one with the big blue wire) thats clicking. Jump the two big wires with a heavy wire. If it trims up now you have a bad solinoid switch.

IF your TNT assmy resides in the boat, there is a knob on the bottom of the pump that can be screwed in clockwise to release the motor.

Whats the battery voltage when the solenoid clicks in? Hate to see a low battery send you on a wild goose chase.....

IF HE WILL TAKE A PAIR OF JUMPERS AND
HIT ONE SIDE AND THE OTHER AND
IT WORKS THEN THE BRASS RING IS BAD.
HE NEEDS A NEW SOLINOID.
REX A HUBBLE
