1979 mercury 115hp no fuel to plugs

i have a 79 merc 115hp i have put new plugs new fuel pump kit rebuilt carbs and everything but it wont start it gets fuel to the carbs but wont get fuels to the plugs compression check was good too if i choke it it will hit and if i put gas in the plug hole it will hit but i wont run and the plugs are dry and they fire good what could be stopping it from getting from the carbs to the plugs? o and i also timed it so please help!

Go to the Engine FAQs forum and do the troubleshooting in "outboard won't start". Let us know what you find.

i have looked every where and cant find nothing hat i havnt done im stuck!

Did you install new carb base gaskets? Maybe there is an air leak between the carbs and crankcase?

yes i installed those too any other thing it could be?

Did you do "Outboard won't start"? What did you find?

"Looked everywhere" tells us exactly zero.

well i rebuilt the carbs ,new plugs,new fuel pump kit,compression check,timed it, its fireing good, its getting gas to the carbs bu it isn geting gas to the plugs i have looked everywhere on here in motor wontt start and any other thing i could think of lol and still nothing

Well there are pinhole idle passages in the carb throats. Did you clean those? Did you clean idle restrictor tubes? Are the little holes on the main nozzle clean? Is the idle air passage in the carb throats clean? Is float height set right?

is the backdraft jet clean? not plugged?

so i take it its still a carb problem lol its my brothers boat so ill ask him if he did all that so do you think the problem is in the carbs is that about the only hing it could be?
