1979 Mercruiser 260 serial?

Where would the serial be located on my block? I need to order some parts and the only thing i can find for my year is "255, 260 mcm & mie (350gm) 1975-82 serial# 3258728-6218461"

Is that the correct serial for my 79 mercruiser 350 small block 260hp?

Trying to use the http://www.mercruiserparts.com/ parts but it has two 260hp engines.

My is the 79 mercruiser 350 260hp. It only has the 1987 version and 1981-1986
