5366788 engine number, my understanding is a 1979. I need to set timing as i messed with all the cables, linkages etc.. I only have the seloc manual to reference.
Is there a way to check idle and max timing without engine running? Such as pulling the plugs, grounding them, turning the engine over at full throttle?
Or does it have to be done in a tank or water? I have access to lake and trying to determine a safe way to do this.
