Alright gentlemen, I'm new in the marine mechanics world. I'm a motorhead in the vehicle world but I need help with flushing fluids, etc... The goal here is to start fresh with an outboard I have little history on and I'm not looking to go give someone else all my money to do it since I'm already savy with mechanics. If it's not to much trouble I want as much advice as possible. What exactly am I looking to flush? If I took this in for a tune up what would they actually be doing? Plugs and wires are already a given. As the title states it's a 79' Johnson Javelin 100 horse. And last question, does this outboard have an ELO or is it a premix? Other than that go ahead and speak your minds on this situation!
