I had an HP165 bass purchased new in 1985... was double console and rated for four persons and 130 hp max... fitted with a 115 Merc tower of power it was a sweet ride for two fishermen and gear. Have someone check the transom before you mount a new motor... mine's went "soft" and shop couldn't torque the engine mounts to spec.. babied it for a couple of years then sold it as was not looking forward to a rebuild.
