Hi guys, I have a late 70s mercruiser 260 with the mc1 setup and its leaking water in the bilge when running. At first thought I figured it was a ypipe seal but when I took off outdrive I noticed that there was no Oring around the water inlet port going into the bell housing. The ujoint bellows had water in it and was obviously getting in there. Could this pump water through to the bilge? It seems to have to run for a few minutes before I see water coming in which I'm thinking is the amount of time it takes to fill bellows and push through into boat. Is this a possible cause?
