Hi all, I just picked up a 79 stinger with twin mercruiser 260s. I was wondering if there is reverse rotation with one engine, and how does it work, engine or outdrive. The outdrives are pre alpha and I'm not sure how to test and know if LUs are going into gear. Thank for your help in advance.

Ayuh,....... Odds are, they both turn the same way,......

Look at the props to see,.....

Shift into forward, 'n turn the props,..... they'll lock in one direction, 'n click in the other,......

Thanks for the reply bondo, yep, they seem to lock the same way except one doesn't lock on reverse then. The PO had the drives off so I guess I better give it a look. I always thought twin engine boats spun outward?
