I just want to say I am sorry to the other poster. I thought maybe we had a similar issue, so I posted there to perhaps shed some light on the matter.

My issue started after I changed tanks, but there is another varible. I had goten flooded on my way back out to the main lake. What I mean is, two speed boats passed by the opening from the launch site as I was entering the lake. The waves came crashing over the bow of my little 1975 Chrysler open bow. Once I got it drained using the bilge pump, I took off and opened her up. I was across the lake and throttled down for a moment. I was going to take off in another direction when there wasn't any power any more. So, I decided to head back across the lake not knowing how long the motor would run. It stalled in the middle of the lake, but started back up. It was really slow even though the throttle was open all the way. I switched back to the first tank. I saved a little in the bottom just in case the mix was wrong in the second tank. I mixed the second tank, and it was my first mix. The boat started back with great power across the lake. However, it started acting up again. After a few minutes it seemed to be ok. I pulled it from the water anyway. We had been there for about 5 hours and were ready to go home.

I plan to work on it some more after work today. I suspect the gas mix, can anyone else shed some light? I just got a new battery and spark plugs. Thanks in advance.

Start with Compression and spark.

Then check fuel lines ect for air leaks.

Was the vent open on the fuel tank?

Check the fuel filter on the fuel pump.

Check the fuel pickup on the second tank.

TMD
