1979 22' Staecraft Supersport V5

Can anyone tell me if this boat is worth 1,200.00 I have attached pictures I also would like to know if this boat will handle the waves of lake erie and if I should look for anything when I go to purchase this boat. Thanks,Mike

Sorry, can't get to your attachment.

I didn't think they made a 22' Supersport (mine's an 18').

As for handling the waves, it's a Deep-V design, so it should handle them just fine.

Yep, in 1978 or 1979 they came out with a new hull design, the V5, which was a good riding hull. They used it on the 22-foot Holiday, SuperSport and, if memory serves, a Chieftan cuddy. We had the Holiday version, closed foredeck, bought new in 1980s as a leftover. Came with the MerCruiser 228 and it would go pretty good for a big boat. It's still kicking around our area, although last I saw it the upholstery was pretty ragged and the floor had been replaced with PT plywood.
