Ive searches and searched but all I can find are dead links and manuals that are unavailable. Can anyone point me in a direction for the factory service manual part number 90-861333? Is it too far in the past to source one? Specifically looking for resistance specs for the ignition coils and stator.

Indeed I have in fact searched it on google. Oldmercs.com it’s unavailable. As well as marinengine, mastertech, Crowley and every store I can find including Mercury. eBay has parts manuals but no mercury marine service manuals for my engine. Ive been through other forum discussions with other links and no luck. Mostly old dead links. I do have the original Clymer manual but there’s no mention of ohm specs and it covers a wide range of motors.

I think the V6 of that era had different ignition coils than the other blackmaxs. I could be wrong. I’ll maybe send some emails to the above mentioned and see if anyone can help locate one.

Everything tests the same as later models with 16 amp stator. Only differences is color of coil(orange) and it has a ground wire that grounds to bare metal. That why there is a unpainted stripe running down center of divider plate also some had a different thickness stator. Dont expect it to perform like a newer 200hp as that motor is only about 175hp at prop..
