Looking at a 78' 140 hp outboard. Sounds like it runs good, pumps water etc. Just wondering about these engines, I have zero experience with Chrysler OB's (but somewhat drawn to this since I'm a Mopar guy in the automotive world.) Had several Mercs and a few Evinrudes ... Is this a decent engine in comparison? What kind of performance and durability would this have compared to one of the others noted? (fyi - this would replace a 73' Evinrude 135 with a dropped cyl on a vintage 15' 8" Marlin Gemini... rated for 140)
