1978 115 hp Evinrude and it acts like it has bad gas every so often...

Once it warms up... I check compression after the first time it did it and had 125+ on all 4 cylinders. What would be the most likely culprit and what would be a way to check it. Seems to run fine at home on the hose. Ran fine for about 15 minutes tonight before that waaaaaaah slowdown. Starts right up and idles fine. New plugs. <br /><br />Any tips would be appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks... Gary

You may be having an ignition coil going bad, as it heats up it will break down and loose spark.<br />Check the coils and make sure none of them are cracked or leaking.

Clean the coil grounds and the engine block where they make contact too.

All the coils look pretty beat up. Probably be a good maintenance item just to change them out. Is there any place online you'd suggest to buy them from?<br /><br />Thanks... Guvner..
