I'm doing the link & sinc on my motor and my factory manual is only calling for 15 degrees of max timing. There is a note in my manual stating to disregard the 21 degrees and gives directions on placing a new mark on the flywheel, which I've done. Anyone know why it was changed. I just don't want a meltdown this spring.

That's why it was changed... to stop pistons melting. Too much advance will cause detonation...exit piston :eek::eek:
