We replaced the fuel pump on our boat. Now it won't "fire-up" and fuel/oil is leaking out of the bottom hole of the air silencer cover. We have checked the connections to the pump and they seem to be as tight as possible. Could the new pump be pushing the fuel through so well that the old dirty carbs can't handle it? I was planning on rebuilding them anyway, does this sound logical?
