We just purchased a 1977 Arrowglass Tarpon and are restoring it as a family project. I am having a difficult time finding the capacity and motor ratings for this model. The plate was worn off (of course it wasn't stamped...just printed); so I couldn't retrieve the information.

Can anyone help out? We want to purchase a till steer, electric start saltwater motor for it. We go into salt water quite often, as well as fresh water.

I did find a little information; but I want to make sure I have the correct information. I know owner's manuals don't usually exist for older boats.

Thank you in advance!!

It's really rough...don't judge. The hull, transom, and keel are in excellent condition.

Welcome aboard.

A little about the boat HERE. Hopefully you're not venturing out too far into the big water in that one. That hull won't do well in big swells.

Thank you for the reply!

That’s the info I found; but it doesn’t say anything about person count/passenger weight capacity.

Gosh no! We will take it mostly to the Beaufort River, Battery Creek, the ICW, and the likes. We have a slip in Port Royal, SC.

A little HERE, but several years older. The '68 model had a passenger and gear capacity around 550lbs. I'd say based on loadout, your max is 4 passengers.

Beautiful area there around Port Royal. I don't think I've that way in almost 20 years. I've been to Charleston quite a bit in the last several years. That's very nice as well.
