I have a 1977 mercury 175 model 1750 ser 4589090 <br />I know how to set the wot timing but does anyone konw what the degree should be had some one tell me 2 degrees before tdc but that dont sound right so any help would be great I bwould love to take this boat out this weekend

Timing maximum : 15 degrees (One punch mark) BTDC<br />Throttle primary pickup : 8-10 degrees (3 punch marks) ATDC<br />Throttle secondary pickup : not adjustable<br />Full throttle : 4800-5800 RPM<br />Idle RPM : 550-650 RPM in gear.<br /><br />(From Mercury manual)
