The motor did crank a few times but did not start. But today it wouldnt crank at all and there is not even a spark when I touch the jumper cable positive on the red wire on the side of the starter. I put the negative on the ground of the motor block. The battery is fully charged. Any ideas why?
Help much appreciated.

Try jumping the solenoid, should be on the left side of the engine, jump the top and bottom posts and see what happens, post results of that test

Thx for the reply.
I got it to start after I cleaned all terminals on the battery, starter and selenoid. It was easy, I should have known better!!
