1976 Evinrude 85 hp remote-Power pilot

Hi fellas,
First time out this year in crazy chop off huntington beach, I bumped into the throttle remote box and snapped off the key in the ignition. OK, I can deal with that. But the diagram from evinrude is woefully inadequate for finding how the heck the parts fit together inside the remote box. I have one plastic piece that dropped out when I opened the box and don't see where it fits-there's several possibilities but I would like to get it right the first time. Here are pics I took-any help would be great. Thanks.

That looks like your shift interlock. And it looks broken. One end keys into the curved metal slot in pic 2

Thanks. You seem to be familiar with it, you know the name-I couldn't find it on any diagram. Would you be able to tell me the part number?
