1976 22' Starcraft Chieftain

Hello. This is my first post so bear with my. I Purchased a 1976 22' Starcraft chieftain about a year ago. The person I bought it from was a nut when it came to taking care of this thing. Before I bought it I knew very little about Starcraft. had a buddy with a 18' starcraft of some sort and he had noting bad to say about it at all.. I paid 4500.00 for it and it is in immaculate condition throughout. I have included some pics. Ihave been looking around for another boat like this one and have been unable to find one. Is this a hard to find boat? Rare etc? Please help Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on where you are in the states, to deem it rare. They are out there, most are not as clean as yours. Most would require a complete rebuild.

Very nice boat and welcome to iboats. Check the Starcraft section and you will see a few of these.

My uncle had one. Its the very reason I bought my new Islander 221.
Beautiful boat and I think you scored a great deal.

Cool Chieftain! And a Merc setup instead of the obsolete OMC. I have a '72 outboard model, but I don't have the cool hard top.
From what I can tell, it rains Starcrafts in Michigan! I had to drive about 12 hours round trip to get mine from the middle of nowhere in New Mexico.

My 1976 22 ft. Chieftain has two 18 gallon tanks.
