Bought the motor a few weeks ago. Guy cranked it in barrel and it ran good. On my boat it would die when I gave it a little gas or if I floored it it would run but no power. It was only pushing my 1436 aluminum jon boat 12 mph. Never seemed like it was reaching WOT. So I did the spark test by pulling the boots. Only the bottom cylinder was running. Got that fixed and now I can pull either boot and motor will stay running. So, I took in it to the river tonight. It has great power out of the hole but isn't pushing my boat but 15 mph still sounds like its running about 60% throttle. Also it will die at full throttle if the choke is all the way in. I can only run it with choke half way pulled out. So.... how do I fix this.
