hey, i have a 1975 evinrude 70hp i am trying to remove the lower unit to replace the water impeller. i have removed all the bolts on the bottom and the bolt for the shift shaft. it won't come loose. am i forgeting something? any suggestions would be great. thanks

did u remove the one for the anode (zinc)

Did you remove the trim tab and the bolt in the cavity above it?

this should help . if it doesen`t moove at all there is a bolt still in there ot the drive shalft is stuck . if it drops some the shift rod is probabley still hooked up under the bottom carb http://www.meegsonline.com/tmd/waterpump.wmv
