Have 75 Sea Ray and noticed the elbow coming off the bottom of the pump is leaking. Its the hose leading to the back of the transom. Can I fix this? Where is the reservoir at to fill it up. Can someone explain how you bleed the lines?

yer gonna have to look for the leak. remember, fluids run downhill. so keep looking up till ya find it. with that said. mine was leaking too. i thought trim hoses at first. ended up being the manifold the trim hoses screw into.

under that manifold are 4 small orings. they can be replaced. and that was where my leak was at. i didn't remove anything other than the manifold. trim hoses still connected. R&Red the o rings by using waterproof grease to hold them to the bottom of the valve body since it was up side down.
basically, the bottom of the trim pump motor is the reservoir. see attachment for fill location.. when filling, be sure drive is all the way down.
as for bleeding, run it up and down a few times. this will bleed it i believe. if that don't work. there's a blurb in the service manual about it. i'll have to read it again to enlighten you. or ya can get your own service manual. mercruiser c-90-71707, service manual #2. it has the procedure in it.

I know where the leak is at. Its the hose on the bottom of the reservoir. The one that leads to the back of the boat. Notice a little pool below the pump. I have been doing research and looks to be a pretty easy fix. First this I am going to try to do is tighten the fitting. I also found a manual online on my trim motor.
I am hoping that fixes it. If not I may have to replace that line. Either way thanks for your replies.
