I am putting new coils on my 1975 ?Rude 9.9, and was wondering (yellow arrow in pic) if I should put some kind of sealer where the spark plug wire goes into the coil? dielectric grease or 5200 or crazy glue or something else so as to really prevent moisture from entering the contacts? Wire is screwed in tight.
Also, (green arrow in pic) should I sand off the black coating where the coil bolts down to make contact with the wire terminals that the bolt goes thru to the motor?
see attached pic...

Use dielectric grease for the coil wire and sand the coil where the wires attach. After the coil is bolted down, coat the area with neoprene dip.
