1975 Johnson 85 hp v4 lower unit

I'm in desperate need of a lower unit for my boat, if anyone has a good used one for sale please let me know, I live in Wyoming and the kids and I only have a couple months left of boating and fishing, so the sooner the better! Thanks!

Look in the "Top Secret File" at the top of the page, there is a list of salvage yards there, maybe one of them can help you out.

Any 1973 through 1977 lower unit should fit.

So a boat shop in fort collins colorado told me they have a 50 horse lower unit that would work, only differance would be it geared lower and I could adjust that by going from a 14 pitch prop to a 17 pitch. Does this sound right? If so im going to pick it up Monday! Hard to find the 73'-77' v4 lower units I guess. The guy also said at our elevation it should work great. I boat at 7200 to about 9000 feet.

If the 50 hp is from the same yr it won't work. Different shifting and size. Check real good before you make the trip.
