1975 Johnson 50 hp hookup for Tachometer

Hi all<br />We have been making steady progress on understanding this motor. I have on the dash a tach and want to know where to hook it up on this 1975 50 hp Johnson outboard. <br />Thankyou for your help<br /><br />Bill

who made the tach? what are the setting selections on the back? do you have the 3 wire or 4 wire rectifier?<br /> what control box do you have? the later style box has a black plug for a tach harness. do you have a dash mounted keyswitch or box mounted ?<br /> good luck and keep posting
