Howdy, Homer.

Welcome to iboats.

Your problem is almost certainly in carburetion. Sounds like the lower 2 carbs have stuck or sunk floats or some other problem that makes them over-rich.

Good luck. :)

Hello Homer,
What exactly did you do when you rebuilt the carbs? Does the primer bulb get hard when you pump it several times. What are the compression numbers? Have you replaced the fuel pump diaprahm? It sounds to me like the bottom two cylinders are flooding did you replace the needles and seats in carbs?
Good luck

Im not sure if the needles and seats where replaced, assuming 700 would rebuild them.
I havent replaced the diaprahm, the compressions is 150 on all cylinders

If the fuel pump diaprahm was blown, what does do? a leak? and where is the diaprahm located?

Fuel pump diaphram is in the fuel pump.If it has a hole in it excess gas will get into the crankcase causing flooding symtoms. If you dont know its condition I would replace it.Im betting the carb(s)(is) are flooding.

Hi Homer
It sounds to me like maybe your tank is not venting correctly or sometrhing wrong with the fuel hose, bulb, connections, etc. You state "700 would rebuild them". Does this mean you hired a pro to servive this motor? If so they must have test run it. I can't imagine they would send out a motor that wouldn't run correctly along with a $700. bill. This problem has to be something simple.

yeah, they tested it and it ran on all three cylinders for them., When i got it home i turned it over and all i get is white gew out the exh. and a stumbling motor. I took it back to him, to look over and trouble shoot it. I will run the diaphram by him and see what he has to say. Supposidly, he has done this for some 20 odd years.
