1975 Chevy 350

I have a 1975 Chevy 350 in a Chris Craft Lancer but the engine is siezed, I have heard different opinions about putting a truck engine in the boat. So far people have told me it cant be done others have said pain in the *** and others said the motor will only last for a year. Please Help

your basic long block is the same thing as a truck engine with the following exceptions, pistons, truck engine has dish top 8.5:1 compression ratio as opposed to boats with flat top, 9:1 comp. ratio,cam is slightly different but not enough to worry about. boat uses brass frost plugs,they must be changed, but it is easy, head gaskets if you run raw water cooling, if you have a closed cooling system dont worry about it. I would go for it if it is a low miler, good luck
