1975 85hp. No spark

I recently bought a 1975 85hp Evinrude with no spark. Compression is good and spins freely. I have the CDI troubleshooting guide and a top of the line test meter (true rms with peak hold).

So, here is the situation. Two coils tested bad, and they were all rusty and cracked. Replaced all 4. CD box tested bad, replaced with new unit from C DI Electronics. Rectifier tests good, timer base tests good (250-275 VDC), stator ohms good but peak voltage is 100vac rather than the 150 specified. The guide doesn’t show a solution. Any ideas? Weak magnets?

It won't be weak magnets.----Charge battery.-----Load test battery.----Take starter apart for inspection / ohm test on armature.----No beer tokens spent to do that testing.

Thanks for the reply. Its a brand new battery. Took the spark plugs out and tried it. Good voltage!! Now to tear into the starter assembly

FYI. Took starter apart and cleaned and lubed it. Voltage improved to 120 Vdc. Still no spark. Found an old post that said to open the cannon connector to the front of the boat. Fired right up!!!!
I had the “kill” wire undone so I don’t know what the issue is. New problem, new search.
